9K a year $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS Immediate opening for a LPN or a Certified Medical Assistant, to manage the Medication Room in a new 79 bed NY Licensed Assisted Living Facility in New City which caters primarily to the mental health population.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will have the ability to provide leadership, support and supervision to the medication aides and support and assistance to residents.
This is a full-time salaried position, Monday - Friday, day shift.
Qualifications:
Must have 2 years' experience working with mental health and/or medication administration Current NYS LPN License or NYS Certified Medical Assistant preferred Caring attitude towards those in need of care.
The ability to motivate and evaluate paraprofessional personnel.
Leadership abilities in management of the paraprofessional team.
Responsibilities:
Ensure safe and adequate services to each resident.
Manage and supervise the Medication Management Program.
Assist (when needed) Management of the facility in the supervision of the rest of the staff in the facility.
Assist with the administration of medication to the residents in the absence of the medication aide.
Communicate and coordinate with the pharmacy the delivery of medication, its proper recording and documentation.
Maintain strict confidentiality of information.
