3K a year We are seeking a full-time Office Assistant for our NYS Licensed Adult Care facility which caters primarily to the geriatric population.
This individual will report to the Administrator and work closely with the Assisted Living Program Coordinator and Asst.
Case Manager.
The ideal candidate should be proactive with strong communication and organizational skills, be attentive to detail and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Answering phones and either transferring the call or taking messages for residents and staff Meet and greet visitors Assist with the distribution of incoming mail Collect faxes from main fax machine.
Copy and distribute as appropriate Manage the residents' bank accounts through a computer software program and accurately distributing personal allowances Schedule medical appointments and coordinate travel arrangements for the residents Bank runs Miscellaneous office support duties (e.
g.
create labels, make files, file documents, etc.
) Assist with processing payroll Assist with other administrative duties
Qualifications:
College degree preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills required Caring and warm personality with the ability to remain calm and patient at all times Team-oriented worker Strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task Excellent phone etiquette Previous experience with the geriatric population is a plus.
Reliable transportation a must.
