Civil Service position will be filled consistent with Rockland County Department of Personnel's requirements.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and four (4) years of office clerical or business experience, at least one (1) year of which involved supervisory and/or non-routine duties.
Provisional Appointment - An appointment in the competitive class for which there is no eligible list or the list has fewer than (3) names.
The appointee must take and pass an appropriate examination and be reachable for appointment from the resulting eligible list.
Your Civil Service probationary period of eight to twenty-six weeks will begin once you are appointed from an eligible list.
Your Civil Service permanent status cannot be achieved until the aforementioned criteria are met.
Please be advised that every appointment of a Civil Service position in the competitive, non-competitive, or labor class is subject to Rockland County Department of Personnel's approval.
Your probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks shall begin the date in which Rockland County Department of Personnel approves your permanent appointment.
Qualified interested personnel should respond in writing by April 11, 2024.
